Star of Hearts Runner Pattern

It’s almost magical to see the stars emerge as you place the hearts around large circles in this interesting design. The stars are appliqued onto the blocks with your choice of stitches; we used a machine satin stitch with rayon thread to make the hearts “pop” with a bit of color.  The runner is made of three big blocks set on point, with setting triangles at the sides. A border stripe print finishes the mitered edges neatly. The pattern even includes yardage and instructions for baby, throw, and queen size quilts if you’re ambitious.
